Diamond lapping film sheets carry tightly graded 0.5 µm diamond mineral uniformly coated on a polyester film backing. Each white sheet measures 3.00 in by 6.00 in (76.20 mm by 152.40 mm) and has a plain back without pressure-sensitive adhesive. The construction delivers an excellent surface finish and consistent results throughout the life of the product without requiring slurry. It is used for fiber optic connector polishing, flat lapping and superfinishing of ceramics, glass, stone, carbide, composites and other hard materials. Sheets stored in original packaging at 10-30 °C and 30-60% relative humidity offer a five-year shelf life.
