Coaxial surge protector uses gas discharge tube technology for RF surge protection up to 2.5 GHz. The 50 ohm device has an unprotected N plug on port 1 and a protected N jack on port 2 with bulkhead and screw grounding. Typical RF performance includes at least 20 dB return loss, no more than 0.2 dB insertion loss, and up to 150 W continuous-wave power. Surge capability is rated at 30 kA single and 20 kA multiple using an 8/20 µs test pulse. The unit operates from -40 °C to 85 °C, weighs 230 g, and has IP65 ingress protection.
