Coaxial surge protector device uses gas discharge tube technology in a slim in-line design. The 50 ohm RF path operates from DC to 6 GHz with N jack female connectors on both protected and unprotected ports. Typical insertion loss is 0.3 dB or lower, typical return loss is at least 15 dB, and continuous-wave power is rated up to 50 W. The device supports remote powering with DC continuity and handles 10 kA single or 5 kA multiple surge current pulses. Bulkhead mounting, IP67 ingress protection when mated, and a -40 °C to 85 °C operating temperature range support outdoor RF installations.
