3M 1205 is a polyimide film-backed electrical tape with a pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive. It is flame-retardant and designed for high-temperature applications requiring a thin insulating material. It is commonly used for wrapping transformers, capacitors, and wire harnesses, as well as providing wave solder masking for printed circuit boards. It maintains its electrical and tensile properties across a wide temperature range and is highly resistant to heat and solvents.
