Circuit breaker for motor protection provides Class 10 thermal overload protection with a 32 A to 40 A adjustable release and a 585 A instantaneous short-circuit trip. The three-pole S2 device is rated for 690 V AC operation, 40 A continuous current, and 50 Hz to 60 Hz mains. It provides increased switching capacity with Icu ratings up to 100 kA at 240 V and 400 V AC. Screw-type terminals accept main-circuit conductors up to 50 mm², and the unit supports screw mounting or snap-on mounting to a 35 mm DIN rail. The front face is IP20 rated, and operation is specified from -20 °C to +60 °C.
