The 8610B is a programmable DC electronic load designed for testing and evaluating DC sources like power supplies, DC-DC converters, batteries, and photovoltaic arrays. It operates in constant current (CC), constant voltage (CV), constant resistance (CR), and constant power (CW) modes. The unit features 16-bit measurement resolution, a transient mode up to 25 kHz, and an adjustable slew rate in CC mode. It includes built-in battery test functions and a CR-LED mode to simulate LED loading behavior. Communication is supported via standard USB (USBTMC-compliant) and RS232 interfaces using SCPI protocol.
