Hybrid braided EMI shield uses 75% silver-plated ARACON conductive fiber and 25% silver-plated copper in a 0.125 inch diameter construction. The pre-braided shield is intended for cable and harness EMI/RFI protection where low mass, flexibility, and durability are required. ARACON shielding is based on Kevlar aramid fiber with a conductive metal coating and typically provides high optical coverage in braided form. The hybrid construction supports reduced DC resistance, enhanced shielding below 100 MHz, and lightning protection while retaining significant weight savings versus plated-copper braid.
