The GAÏA Converter HUGD-300 is a Hi-Rel HOLD-UP MODULE providing a state-of-the-art solution for maintaining electronic systems during input bus drop-out. It features an 8 Vdc to 100 Vdc input voltage range and is compatible with 9 to 100Vdc DC/DC converter modules. This unique product reduces required capacitance by 80% by charging the hold-up capacitor at a high, adjustable voltage (31-80 VDC). It includes embedded reverse polarity protection, covers a power range from 4W to 300W, and is compliant with MIL-HDBK-704-8. The module incorporates monitoring signals, programmable hold-up capacitor voltage, and is manufactured with a RoHS process. It operates in three modes: charging, normal, and power-fail, powering converters from an external capacitor during input voltage drops. Available options include '/T' for -55°C start-up operating temperature and '/S' for screening and serialization.
