Two-lamp DC-to-AC CCFL inverter powers the backlight of the NEC NL10276BC30-10 display from a regulated 12 VDC source. The open-frame LD package operates from 10.8 V to 12.6 V input and provides 7.5 mArms output current per lamp at about 560 Vrms with 80 percent typical efficiency. Onboard analog and PWM dimming support high dimming ratio operation, and an enable input provides external shutdown control. The inverter uses onboard connectors and has a maximum component surface operating temperature range of -20 °C to 80 °C.
