The LM3404 is a monolithic switching regulator designed to deliver constant currents to high power LEDs. It contains a high-side N-channel MOSFET switch with a current limit of 1.5-A typical. It operates over an input voltage range of 6V to 42V and uses hysteretic controlled on-time allowing the output voltage to adjust as needed to deliver constant current to serial or parallel LED arrays. The device supports PWM dimming, thermal shutdown, and cycle-by-cycle current limit.
