The LM3559 is a 2-MHz fixed-frequency synchronous boost converter designed to drive two series flash LEDs at 800 mA or a single flash LED at 800 mA. It features a high-side current source that allows for grounded cathode LED operation and includes an I2C-compatible interface for controlling torch, flash, and indicator modes. The device provides eight protection features and four selectable inductor current limits.
