The LP8860-Q1 is an automotive high-efficiency LED driver with a boost controller and four high-precision current sinks. It supports a wide input voltage range from 3V to 48V and features adaptive output voltage control based on LED string headroom to minimize power consumption. The device includes an adjustable switching frequency from 100kHz to 2.2MHz with spread-spectrum capabilities to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) and avoid AM radio band disturbance. It supports hybrid PWM and current dimming for high optical efficiency and provides extensive fault diagnostics for automotive safety.
