SMA plug-to-jack fixed attenuator provides 3 dB attenuation over a DC to 12.4 GHz frequency range. The 50 ohm screened MIL-SPEC component uses threaded SMA interfaces with stainless steel bodies, beryllium copper contacts, PTFE insulation, and an alumina tantalum-nitride resistor element. Average power rating is 2 W at 25 °C with linear derating to 0.5 W at 125 °C, and peak power rating is 200 W for limited-duty pulses. The design supports 1000 VRMS dielectric withstand voltage, shielding effectiveness of at least 90 dB, and RoHS compliance with exemption 6C.
