The fixed RF attenuator uses an SMA jack-to-plug configuration with threaded coupling and 50 ohm impedance. It provides 20 dB attenuation over a DC to 18 GHz frequency range with 2 W average power handling. VSWR is specified by band up to 1.35:1 from 12.4 GHz to 18 GHz, and peak power is rated at 500 W for the specified pulse duty cycle. The construction uses stainless steel bodies and coupling nut, beryllium copper contacts, PTFE insulation, silicone rubber gaskets, and a tantalum nitride resistor element on alumina substrate.
