The MC6470 consists of a 3-axis linear accelerometer and a 3-axis magnetic field sensor, each with an I2C digital interface, in a single package. It combines a high precision magnetic sensor with a low noise single-chip MEMS accelerometer to enable tilt-compensated compass directional accuracy. The device features a linear acceleration full-scale range of up to ±16g and a magnetic field resolution of up to 0.15µT. It is optimized for use in cell phones, portable navigation devices, and fitness products for applications such as map orientation, virtual reality data overlay, and dead reckoning assistance.
