F-type coaxial lightning arrestor provides 75 ohm RF surge protection with DC-pass operation from dc to 2.5 GHz. The bulkhead F female to F female configuration supports bidirectional protection and is compatible with RG-6 cable. RF performance is specified at 1.20 typical VSWR and 0.15 dB typical insertion loss with 25 W maximum RF power. The gas-discharge-tube design uses a 90 V protection element, handles 3 A through current at up to 48 Vdc, and is rated for 20 kA maximum transient surge current. The rugged housing is IP67 rated and operates from -40 °C to +70 °C.
