4-bit binary full adder that performs the addition of two 4-bit binary words and provides full internal carry look-ahead across all four bits, generating the carry term C4 in typically 5 ns. Sum outputs are provided for each bit and the resultant carry output is obtained from the fourth bit, with end-around carry accomplished without logic or level inversion. The device operates with either all-active-high (positive logic) or all-active-low (negative logic) operands and is characterized for the full military temperature range of -55°C to 125°C. Recommended supply voltage spans 4.5 V to 5.5 V, and the 16-pin ceramic DIP (J) version uses tin-lead (SNPB) terminals.
