The TLC5916 is a constant-current LED sink driver designed to work alone or be cascaded. It contains an 8-bit shift register and data latches that convert serial input data into parallel output format. The device features eight regulated-current ports that provide uniform and constant current for driving LEDs with a wide range of forward voltage variations. It includes an external resistor to set the output current from 5 mA to 120 mA and provides excellent output current accuracy.
