The TLC6946 is a 16-channel, constant-current sink LED driver. Each channel has an individually adjustable 16-bit grayscale (65,536 steps) PWM control. It features 128 steps of global brightness control and is designed for high-density, fine-pitch LED panel applications. The device includes enhancement circuits to solve display issues like ghosting, caterpillar effects, and low-grayscale non-uniformity. It supports a high-speed serial data interface with dual-edge grayscale control and involves diagnostic features like LED-open detection and thermal shutdown.
