The TLC69608 is a 16-channel constant current sink LED driver designed for LCD local dimming backlight applications. It supports up to 8 time-multiplexing scan control and integrates SRAM for brightness storage. The device features an adaptive headroom voltage control (AHVC) scheme to optimize system efficiency by directly controlling DC/DC converters. It includes a high-speed 20MHz daisy chain interface supporting up to 1024 devices for large-scale dimming zones, along with diagnostic functions for LED open/short and thermal shutdown detection.
