This double Hall-effect sensor is designed for highly accurate automotive applications and provides both speed and direction information from two matched Hall probes. It operates from a 2.7 V to 24 V supply, works from unregulated supplies, and uses digital open-collector outputs. Active error compensation and chopper techniques improve switching accuracy and temperature stability, while typical jitter is 1 microsecond. The device is qualified for operation from -40 °C to 150 °C, includes reverse-battery protection to -18 V, and is supplied in a TSOP6 gullwing package.
