The TPIC6595 is a monolithic, high-voltage, high-current power 8-bit shift register designed for use in systems that require relatively high load power. The device contains a built-in voltage clamp on the outputs for inductive transient protection. It features eight open-drain DMOS transistor outputs capable of 250mA continuous sink current and 1.5A pulsed current. Data is shifted serially into an 8-bit shift register and transferred to an 8-bit storage register, allowing for parallel output control and cascading of multiple devices.
