The TPS61182 is a highly integrated white-LED (WLED) driver designed for larger-size LCD backlighting. It is a media-form-factor display backlight solution with a built-in high-efficiency boost regulator and six current sink regulators. Each current sink is capable of providing up to 30mA and can be joined together to provide higher current for a single LED string. The device features a PWM interface for brightness dimming and includes comprehensive protection features such as overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, and thermal shutdown.
