The TPS61196-Q1 is a highly integrated boost controller designed for automotive LCD backlighting. It drives up to six WLED strings with multiple LEDs in series. Each string features an independent current regulator providing adjustable LED current from 50 mA to 400 mA with ±1.5% matching accuracy. It includes independent PWM dimming for each string and provides protection against LED open/short, Schottky diode open/short, and thermal shutdown.
