The TPS92201A is a high-efficiency 1.5A synchronous buck-type LED driver with a 2.5V to 5.5V input range. It integrates high-side and low-side MOSFETs (220mΩ/170mΩ) and features a peak current control scheme with adaptive off-time. At light loads, the device automatically enters Pulse Frequency Modulation (PFM) to maintain high efficiency, while operating in PWM mode at 1.5MHz for medium to heavy loads. It supports analog dimming from 1% to 100% via a PWM input frequency of 20kHz to 200kHz and includes full protection against LED open/short and thermal shutdown.
