The TPS92512 is a step-down (buck) current regulator with an integrated 200-mΩ high-side MOSFET designed to drive high-current LEDs. It operates over an input voltage range of 4.5V to 42V and uses peak-current mode control with a user-selected fixed frequency between 100 kHz and 2 MHz. The device features separate analog and PWM dimming inputs, supporting pulse width modulation contrast ratios greater than 100:1 and analog current adjustment via a 0V to 1.8V signal on the IADJ pin. Safety features include cycle-by-cycle overcurrent protection and thermal shutdown.
