The TPS92638-Q1 is an eight-channel linear LED driver designed for automotive applications. It supports up to eight strings of LEDs with a total current of up to 70 mA per channel. The device features constant current regulation set by reference resistors, supporting dual-level current (Stop/Tail) applications. It includes integrated protection such as open- and shorted-LED detection, thermal shutdown failure reporting, and a temperature-current foldback mechanism to prevent thermal shutdown by reducing LED current as junction temperature rises.
