IR receiver module for remote control systems integrates a PIN photodiode and preamplifier in an epoxy package that acts as an IR filter. The demodulated active-low output is compatible with TTL and CMOS logic and can be decoded directly by a microprocessor. The receiver is tuned for a 36.7 kHz carrier frequency and supports burst lengths of at least 10 cycles. Operation is specified from 4.5 V to 5.5 V with a typical dark supply current of 1.2 mA and an ambient temperature range of -25 °C to +85 °C.
