The user-configurable 6 DoF inertial measurement system combines three internal accelerometers, three internal rate gyros, two temperature sensors, battery voltage and current monitoring, signal processing, and IRIG encoding. External sensors and signals can be input through plug-in signal conditioning modules. The unit operates from 8.5 to 36 VDC across a -40 to 85 °C temperature range. It uses an anodized aluminum case measuring 201.42 mm long by 69.85 mm diameter and supports RS-485 configuration, IRIG-106 encoded PCM output, optional FM transmission, and AES encryption options.
